making deals w/ myself

I find myself negotiating. I did not go to golf last night, that would have been my exercise, in stead I decided to walk to 7-11 instead of drive. Made a little deal w/ myself. I did finally weigh myself, I hadn't in quite a while. Came in about 201. I guess thats good, at least I haven't gone up. My breakfast was spoiled today, I was given a cinnimon raisen biscuit from Hardees..I have a hard time turning away free food. I can never eat just a sandwich for lunch, I'm been eating sugar free pudding cups, they are really yummy. I guess now that I ate the biscuit maybe I'll walk around the outside of the building today. It's a pretty big building and it's only going to get in the 80's today. Maybe I'll do that. NO..I will do that :0) feel better already!

I make deals with myself all the time. Like OK...you can have that ice cream as long as you walk extra tonite. Doesn't always work out that well for me though.

I'm reading A Nora Roberts Trilogy right now...it's good.

MP I know that its hard to pass up freebies, trust me I am the queen of not passing up a free gift no matter what it be. In due time you will have enough strength and will power to walk away from the sweets.

I KNOW you can do this gf, you just have to do it on your terms and at your pace.

Its not easy, it never is but once you set your mind to doing it, you will have given yourself the strength to achieve your goals.

Don't down yourself for slipping because we all slip. Making deals with yourself is easy enough to do but also easy enough to break. Just remember who you are doing this for and what it will do for you.

There's my two cents, for what its worth.

Chris, I'm thinking that was worth a lot more than 2 cents...that's some good advice!

MP, Let's make a deal....you give yourself a break and I'll give you an extra break for you to use when this one runs out.

I don't know if this helps, or not...when I'm working my plan I usually don't accept anything from anyone....that's because I'm totally sugar/wheat/etc.-free. Rather than asking them what all the ingredients are...I simply tell them I'm on a strict diet and can't accept their gift. I do make sure that I'm effusive in thanking them for the thoughtfulness. In the past there have been folks who went out of their way to find out what was on my list of can/can't haves and offered me one of my cans...letting me know the ingredients before I even had to ask! That really touched me.

We're all on our own journey dealing with issues as they arise in our own ways....you'll come up with your very own method that will work for you. I have every faith in the world in you....you are on the road to success. Don't let the potholes cause you to detour....they're just reminders that we're still human.
